Lindsey Downey is an attorney at Ardalan & Associates, PLC, who has dedicated her career to advocating for individuals harmed by the wrongful conduct of others. Lindsey represents clients in personal injury matters involving motor vehicle incidents, dangerous or unsafe property conditions, products liability, wrongful death, assault and battery, dog bites, and exposure to toxic substances or other harmful conditions. She is committed to helping injured individuals navigate challenging circumstances and works to secure the compensation and accountability they deserve. Her extensive litigation experience includes managing cases from inception through resolution and working closely with clients to develop strategies tailored to their goals. Lindsey approaches each matter with thorough preparation and a client-centered focus, recognizing that effective advocacy requires both strategic litigation and clear, compassionate communication.
In addition to her personal injury practice, Lindsey has substantial litigation experience involving insurance bad faith and related disputes. She has represented individuals and businesses in claims against insurance carriers for unreasonable delays, denials, and underpayment of valid claims, including matters involving significant property damage caused by fire, water, smoke, soot, and ash. Lindsey has also handled cases involving negligence by insurance agents and brokers. This experience provides her with valuable insight into insurance practices and claim handling, which continues to strengthen her advocacy for injury victims.
Lindsey obtained a dual Juris Doctor (J.D.) and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from the University of La Verne. She is admitted to practice law in California and Utah, as well as before the United States District Courts for the Central, Northern, Eastern, and Southern Districts of California.
Lindsey has received peer recognition through Super Lawyers®, being named to the Rising Stars℠ list from 2021 through 2024. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in the state are selected to receive this honor. She has also been named a Top 40 Under 40 in Civil Litigation by The National Trial Lawyers, an organization recognizing attorneys who demonstrate superior qualifications, trial results, and leadership.
Lindsey’s commitment to justice extends beyond her legal practice. She served for six years on the Board of Directors for the West Ventura County Business Alliance, helping foster positive business and community growth. She has also mentored students through the Ventura County Mock Trial Competition and volunteered with Ventura County Legal Aid, providing guidance to underserved litigants.
Outside of the courtroom, Lindsey is an animal advocate with a focus on rescuing and rehabilitating dogs with behavioral challenges, helping them receive the training and support they need to thrive.
