Lindsey Downey joined Ardalan & Associates as an Associate Attorney in 2019. Ms. Downey fiercely advocates for her clients while maintaining a high level of professionalism and compassion at all times. She has been recognized by the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys as one of the “10 Best Attorneys” in Ventura County California for exceptional and outstanding client service in 2018 and 2019 and as one of The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 in 2019.
Prior to joining Ardalan & Associates, Ms. Downey represented clients with legal issues in the areas of personal injury, estate planning, probate, family law, landlord/tenant, and business.
Ms. Downey currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce and is actively involved with the Women In Business and Young Professionals Groups. As a Chamber Board member Ms. Downey volunteers her time to support the Chamber’s mission of promoting and enhancing a positive business and community environment. Ms. Downey is also a member of several attorney organizations including the Ventura County Bar Association, Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), and Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA).
Ms. Downey earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from San Diego State University. After working as a project manager in both the pharmaceutical and corporate meeting and event planning industries, Ms. Downey obtained a dual Juris Doctorate / Master of Business Administration degree from the University of La Verne.
While in law school, Ms. Downey volunteered in the Self- Help Center at the Superior Court of California, County of San Bernardino. As a Self-Help Center volunteer Ms. Downey assisted self-represented individuals with various family law issues such as divorce, child custody and visitation disputes, child support disputes, and restraining orders. As a licensed attorney, Ms. Downey continued to voluntarily assist self-represented individuals through legal clinics hosted by Ventura County Legal Aid throughout 2016 and 2017. Additionally, Ms. Downey has consistently volunteered for the Annual Ventura County Mock Trial Competition where teams of high school students throughout the county present a hypothetical case to volunteer judges and attorneys in a courtroom setting. The students receive invaluable guidance and feedback from the volunteer attorneys and judges while competing for the top prize.
Ms. Downey has a passion for animals and has rescued a number of dogs throughout her life; nurturing them back to health and giving them a loving home.
